Robert Rhoades, DO
Dr. Robert Rhoades is a board-certified anesthesiologist with additional training in regional anesthesia and pain, as well as anti-aging, metabolic, and regenerative medicine through A4M and the Metabolic Medicine Institute. While he began his career in perioperative medicine, acute pain management, and anesthesiology, his medical career has been experienced across a broad spectrum of healthcare and a medical background that has led him to a passionate interest in treating the whole patient and optimizing individual health and well-being through interventional pain management of acute and chronic pain disorders.
Dr. Rhoades's interest in medicine began prior to medical school in the medical mission field where he provided medical support in Peru, Brazil, Honduras, El Salvador, Nepal, and other countries. Dr. Rhoades completed his residency at VCU Hospital/MCV Medical Center in Internal Medicine and then Anesthesiology. He continued to find his passion was in partnering with his patients to optimize their overall health and well-being while preparing for procedures or treating their pain. He has particular interest in neuromodulation including spinal cord stimulation and provides a wide variety of interventional pain procedures.
In his free time, Dr. Rhoades enjoys spending time traveling with his wife, kids, and their dogs. He started Project 7Seven and participates and coordinates major endurance events to raise money and support for the treatment of addiction.
